Testimonials

"Hi. My name is Lucia. I came here over 1 month ago after being referred from Bed Space in Liverpool, after originally coming from Angola, Africa.
I like living here at the Foyer because it is a nice place and all the staff and residents that live here are very hellpful. They have helped me with my benefits, my college enrollment, advice and getting a new doctor. I love the Foyer!" Lucia (age) Foyer Resident

"I came here after being kicked out of home and I went to the City Centre Project who referred me to the Foyer.
It's great, wicked, yeah! The staff are good and are always there for you.
I like it because there are rules here but they are good rules that do help us. Also, I feel that the Foyer will help me to live my life now and when I leave."

"I am 16 years old. When I first moved here I thought I would be lonely and scared as it was my first experience of living alone.
The staff helped me with my benefits and they helped me to find a doctor. When I had trouble with claiming my benefits as I had no Home Office documents or ID, my support worker helped me on my behalf to push and chase the claim.
There are optional activities that we can do outside of college and work time. The staff treat us like adults.
The rules at the Foyer make me feel safe living here and are fair as they still allow us to be treated like adults"
